Bishop’s Stortford is a prominent town in Hertfordshire which is surrounded by beautiful countryside and picture postcard villages. It is extremely sought after by commuters and families as a result of its fantastic connections and excellent schooling. The mainline station offers regular direct links to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge, it is within a few miles of Stansted Airport with its every increasing number of destinations and it is placed very close to Junction 8 of the M11 for easy road access to London, Cambridge and the Midlands. There are many excellent state schools within the town and also the highly sought after independent Bishop’s Stortford College which provides outstanding education from pre-prep to A Level.

The town itself offers everything you would expect from a bustling market town, with a mix of high street and independent shops, a twice weekly market and a very varied range of bars and restaurants. South Mill Arts Centre sits in the town centre and runs a huge variety of events throughout the year. Recreationally, there are many sports clubs and facilities for young and old including football, rugby, tennis and cricket clubs and there are also several golf clubs in the vicinity. The Grange Paddocks Leisure Centre has a swimming pool and a gym as well as offering an extensive range of fitness classes. There are also many parks within the town and its surrounding area offering lovely outdoor spaces and it is close to Hatfield Forest, a medieval hunting forest, for some fantastic walks.

This is a rural part of Hertfordshire and the town is surrounded by undulating countryside and stunning villages offering a good variety of property from picture postcard cottages, new houses on small developments and large country homes.
