33 CHAPEL HILL is most conveniently located in the centre of the village of Stansted Mountfitchet and within walking distance of many amenities including a shop, pub, restaurant and mainline train station which is about 150 meters from the house. The cottage is one of a pair and built during the Victorian era in solid brickwork under a slate roof. The house was significantly extended to the rear about fifty years ago in cavity brickwork, again with a pitched and slated roof and now has cavity wall insultation.
The accommodation is arranged over two floors with an entrance lobby leading to an open-plan sitting/dining room where there is a staircase to the first floor and a doorway through to the kitchen which has a range of storage cupboards. There is then a rear lobby with access to the outside and a door to a ground floor shower room.
On the first floor, there are three bedrooms (two doubles and one single) and a box room which could provide an occasional bedroom or an additional bath or shower room.
Outside, there is a small area of garden to the front and a side passage leading to the rear garden which is about 50ft in length with a shed, a summerhouse, lawns and a terrace. There is outside lighting and a water tap.
AGENT'S NOTES:
For many years, the current owner has rented a garage nearby and it may be possible to continue this arrangement.
There is damp along the flank wall of the sitting/dining room and some work would be required to rectify the problem.
