Badgers was built by local developer, Pelham Structures who have a reputation for building oak framed village and country houses. The house is predominantly timber framed with rendered and colour washed elevations under a tiled and part slate roof and has accommodation arranged over three floors; the lower ground floor has a recreation room, sitting room, a ground floor bedroom suite and a generous utility room all with under floor heating. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall with substantial oak staircase to the first floor and a well proportioned drawing room with an attractive fireplace and wood burning stove. The dining room has many exposed oak timbers and a kitchen/breakfast room which has an electric Aga, hardwood and granite work surfaces and integrated appliances. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with en suite shower room, three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.
A driveway provides parking and leads to the garage, which has an office and generous storage above. The formal gardens are a feature and are laid to lawn with shrub and herbaceous borders, summer house and a gateway which leads to a wooded area. The grounds in total amount to approximately half an acre.
Agents note: The photographs were taken in 2015. The house does now require some repair and modernisation.
