Still time to register for Starlight Walk

There is still time to register for the St Clare Hospice Starlight Walk in Bishop’s Stortford. Walkers are being encouraged to put their names down for the fundraising event –and turn up in fancy dress. The walk will start at Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club at 8pm on Friday, September 21. Walkers can take part in memory of a loved one or someone who has been helped by St Clare Hospice.

This year’s Starlight Walk is being sponsored by Mullucks Wells estate agents. Says Richard Roberts, Managing Director of Mullucks Wells: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Bishop’s Stortford Starlight Walk. Our sponsorship commitment will help ensure that all the money raised from the event will directly support the vital work that St Clare Hospice carry out in our community. We will also be entering a team so that we don’t miss out on the fun on the night.”

St Clare Hospice community fundraiser Grace Clutton said: “We need you and your friends to sign up and help make a mark on Bishop’s Stortford! Now is the time to get a team together and dress up for the occasion in your best fancy dress!” Grace added: “It is guaranteed to be a great night. As well as the walk there will be plenty of other activities for people to enjoy on the night.”
Entertainment will be provided by bands ‘Archive’ and ‘Miss Chance’. There will be a hog roast and refreshments and a fun Zumba session for walkers before they set off. Prizes will be presented to the highest fundraiser and the best dressed walker.

You can register up to four people at once but organisers must have the full name and address of everyone taking part. Once payment has been received you will be sent a registration pack including a sponsor form. Each walker will receive a t-shirt and goody bag on the night.
