Strong Start' to 2006 for the Property Market

The Nationwide and the Halifax have reported today that house prices have made a 'strong start' in 2006. Rightmove have also reported a strong start to the new year with properties selling more quickly and stock levels declining. "Buyers are back, particularly at the bottom end of the market" Miles Shipside, Rightmove spokesman said. "We believe this will lead to further sales as successful sellers move up the property ladder." On average, properties were taking 13 days less time to sell than they were at the end of last year.
